Role Summary:
The Indirect Procurement specialist supports the procurement of non-technical goods and services, collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers to enhance efficiency and value. This role is primarily performed on-site in Aachen, with potential for some remote work, and involves liaising across various departments to deliver optimal sourcing solutions. By ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, the successful candidate will contribute significantly to the organization’s operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the sourcing and purchasing of indirect goods and services across multiple categories.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms to maximize value.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.
  • Assist in the management of supplier performance and compliance.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Support contract management activities and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored procurement solutions.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build mutual beneficial supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of procurement process tools and systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.
