Lead and build an immunology research team focused on cutting-edge target discovery, from nomination and validation to advancing pipeline development.
Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and innovations in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by actively participating in conferences and seminars, and translating insights into pipeline projects.
Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of immunology researchers, overseeing recruitment, budgeting, goal-setting, and fostering independent, productive work that drives pipeline progression and intellectual property creation (e.g., patents).
Establish and maintain strong collaborations with cross-functional teams globally, ensuring effective communication and resource utilization across platforms.
Oversee the team’s daily operations and create a collaborative, open research environment, contributing to broader research efforts through meetings, competitive intelligence, and joint projects.
Qualifications:
PhD in Immunology with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated success in leading early-stage drug discovery programs, from target identification to IND-enabling studies.
In-depth knowledge of immunology, particularly in autoimmune and inflammatory disease areas.
Strong scientific expertise, with proven experience in experimental design and data interpretation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across different disciplines and organizational levels.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and scientific rigor.
Proven track record in generating intellectual property, including patents and peer-reviewed publications.
