We’re partnering with a global medical communications agency that blends deep scientific expertise with creativity and innovation to deliver impactful work for leading pharmaceutical and biotech clients. They’re seeking a Senior Medical Writer to join their growing Scientific Services team, someone eager to take the next step in their med comms career and help bring science to life across diverse therapeutic areas and audiences.

The Role:
As a Senior Medical Writer, you’ll play a key role in developing high-quality scientific content across a range of deliverables, from slide decks and congress materials to video scripts, publications, and digital content. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure every piece of work is accurate, engaging, and strategically aligned.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role that offers both variety and autonomy, with strong mentorship and clear pathways for growth.

Key responsibilities:
  • Research, write, and edit scientifically accurate, well-referenced materials for healthcare professionals, patients, and other audiences
  • Deliver content across diverse formats, including slide decks, leavepieces, meeting reports, congress materials, manuscripts, websites, and video scripts
  • Liaise confidently with clients, healthcare professionals, and subject matter experts to shape content and secure approvals
  • Contribute to project planning and proactively manage timelines, deliverables, and communication with your team
  • Provide basic review and constructive feedback to junior writers while continuing to grow your own leadership skills
  • Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., ABPI, Veeva, DataVision)
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned therapy areas and share insights across the wider team
About You
  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) in a relevant life sciences discipline
  • 2–3 years’ experience in medical communications
  • Proven ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging scientific content across multiple formats
  • Strong communication and time-management skills, with the ability to work across projects and therapy areas
  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, you enjoy working as part of a close-knit, high-performing team
  • Curious and creative, passionate about staying current with new science and new ways to communicate it
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clients and healthcare professionals
