Job Opportunity: Senior Product Manager – Fluid Management
We are a global leader in medical device innovation and education, specializing in orthopedic solutions. Our growing team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to expand our Fluid Management product portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team, including surgeons and internal employees, to develop and manage products that enhance surgical outcomes and improve patient care.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving product innovation, building relationships with key customers, and overseeing the success of our Fluid Management solutions. Your leadership skills, along with seven or more years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, will be essential in this position. The role requires travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and guide a team of Product/Project Managers and manage direct reports as needed.
Contribute to the overall product strategy, research and development, and coordination for new products.
Oversee technical product development, profit estimations, and product launch.
Work across functions—sales, engineering, marketing, and operations—to create and refine product offerings.
Develop product definitions and ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.
Create and maintain a prioritized list of market and customer requirements for products.
Coordinate marketing, sales, and financial strategies for product lines.
Provide financial and technical justifications for product decisions.
Prepare objectives and timelines for product development and market introduction.
Conduct market research and track trends within the industry.
Analyze competitor products and explore potential partnerships for expanding product offerings.
Engage in key sales situations to support product sales efforts.
Manage product lifecycle, from development to market phase-out.
Ensure ongoing product surveillance and alignment with financial goals.
Be prepared to work with cadaveric specimens as part of product development.
Travel: Up to 25% travel required.
Education & Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, health sciences, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in product management, marketing, or engineering within the orthopedic or sports medicine field, including 3+ years of experience specifically with Fluid Management devices in the orthopedic/arthroscopic space.
Proven track record of travel for work is highly desirable.
Skills & Knowledge:
Deep understanding of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple functions to achieve project goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to address customer concerns effectively.
