Sr/Exec Director Drug Product Development - Parenteral expert

This is an individual contributor role - we're looking for a technical expert with parenterals with peptides & oligonucleotides

Position Summary:

A global biopharmaceutical company is expanding its team with a focus on novel biotherapeutics, including parenteral formulations of small and large molecules, genetic medicines, lipid nanoparticles, and other advanced delivery systems. The team is seeking a seasoned leader with experience across drug product development stages to help build platforms for emerging therapeutic modalities and lead innovation in formulation and delivery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide drug product development strategies across a variety of biologic and novel therapeutic formats in clinical programs.
• Oversee technical planning and integration of new delivery approaches and complex formulation platforms.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to align formulation, analytics, and device strategies for pipeline assets.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging formulation and delivery technologies with high potential impact.
• Lead and develop a team of scientists while fostering external partnerships to advance innovative solutions.
• Contribute to a strong scientific culture through knowledge sharing, external engagement, and thought leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant scientific or engineering field with deep expertise in drug product or delivery development.
• 15–25 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated leadership in formulation or delivery of Oligonucleotides, Peptides, Biologics
• Significant experience supporting regulatory filings and technical documentation for clinical-stage programs.
• Track record of mentoring senior scientific staff and managing cross-functional technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of sterile manufacturing, formulation science, and delivery technologies for injectable products.
• Demonstrated ability to design and scale formulation platforms or enable new delivery strategies.
• Collaborative leadership style with experience working across discovery, technical, and development functions.
• Recognized as a technical leader with a history of contributing to industry best practices and innovation initiatives.
