Job Opportunity: Thought Leader Liaison, Rare Disease
Position Overview:
I am excited to be partnered with one of our top global biopharma's as they are seeking a passionate and experienced Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) to join their team, focusing on a Liver product in the rare disease space. This role is integral to building and maintaining relationships with National, Regional, and Local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) while supporting marketing initiatives and actively participating in conferences and meetings.
This position covers the Eastern half of the United States or Western half of the United States and requires a dynamic professional ready to engage with leaders in the field, facilitate strategic initiatives, and represent their mission. If interested, apply today!
Key Responsibilities:
KOL Engagement
- Build and sustain brand and company awareness among KOLs through regular education and engagement.
- Identify and map thought leaders and influencers within their disease states.
- Maintain an updated, disease-specific KOL database, developing tailored engagement plans.
- Cultivate the biopharma's brand advocates and monitor KOL sentiment via interactions and podium presentations.
- Coordinate growth efforts at key institutions in collaboration with local cross-functional partners.
Support Marketing Initiatives
- Lead national and regional advisory board activities, including participant selection, content development, and reporting.
- Manage the Speaker Bureau, including nominations, training, utilization, and event monitoring to ensure compliance.
- Act as the primary liaison between the field and Medical Leverage agency.
- Share my client's company and brand story through approved materials to strengthen KOL advocacy.
Conference & Meeting Engagement
- Serve as the Commercial Lead at National Conferences, overseeing preparations, KOL profiling, and post-congress debriefs.
- Manage KOL meetings, including logistical planning, cross-functional introductions, and executive engagement coordination.
- Represent US Commercial at global meeting alignments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: BA/BS degree in a science-related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech industries, with a proven track record in specialty or rare diseases.
- TLL experience and knowledge of Hepatology is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of compliance, payer, and clinical landscapes.
Skills:
- Exceptional presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of market, disease, and product landscapes.
- Demonstrated empathy and patient-centricity.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively across the United States, including weekends and overnights as needed.
