The Head of Strategic Finance will act as a key partner to the executive team, driving financial planning, commercial insight, and long-term growth strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role combining strategic influence with hands-on execution, with a clear pathway toward a future Chief Financial Officer position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop and refine SaaS metrics and performance frameworks, including ARR, CAC, LTV, and other key unit economics.
  • Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and preparation of board-level reporting materials.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams to optimise pricing strategies, sales efficiency, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Build and scale financial infrastructure, systems, and processes to support business growth.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to founders and senior leadership to inform decision-making.
  • Analyse business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Operate as a hands-on leader in a fast-paced environment, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate finance roles within high-growth environments - ideally with 4-8 years of industry experience
  • Background in SaaS, AI, or technology-driven businesses, with a strong understanding of recurring revenue models.
  • Deep knowledge of financial and commercial metrics, including unit economics and performance analysis.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, investor engagement, and board reporting processes.
  • Strong foundational training in finance, ideally with prior experience in investment banking, private equity, or similar.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, fast-scaling, and ambiguous environment, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
