Our client is a leading company within the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, specializing in innovative oncology solutions. They are seeking a Senior Oncology Sales Specialist to help expand the adoption of their first commercial oncology product across the South Texas region, including San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and surrounding areas. This role is critical in driving growth by engaging healthcare professionals, delivering tailored product education, and supporting strategic account development.

Role Summary
You will be responsible for growing product awareness and utilization in your designated territory by building long-term relationships with physicians, nurses, and key healthcare decision-makers. This on-site role emphasizes strategic planning and resource management to meet sales targets, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and achieve collective goals. Your work will directly influence how healthcare providers understand and incorporate innovative oncology treatments into patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive territory business plans.
  • Manage and grow customer relationships with physicians, nurses, and practice managers.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and clinical discussions to showcase product benefits within the therapeutic area.
  • Identify customer needs and respond with persuasive, tailored messaging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing and medical affairs, to ensure aligned strategies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support promotional speaker programs.
  • Monitor market dynamics and provide competitive intelligence to internal teams.
  • Track and manage operational costs in line with company policies.

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on oncology and/or rare diseases.
  • Proven success in sales within competitive markets, with a strong network of healthcare professionals in oncology.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic account plans that drive results.
  • Skilled in delivering compelling presentations and negotiations.
  • Experience with market access or reimbursement strategies is a plus.
  • Strong clinical knowledge with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in complex, technical environments.

Salary
This role offers a base salary between $170,000 and $200,000, depending on experience.
