Our client is a leading biotechnology company focused on developing targeted oncology solutions. They are seeking a dedicated Senior Oncology Sales Specialist to champion their first commercial product in the oncology space. This role is vital to expanding access to innovative therapies, partnering with key healthcare professionals, and building long-term relationships within a competitive market.

Role Summary:

In this on-site position, you will be the face of the company’s groundbreaking oncology treatment in the Houston and Southeast Texas region, as well as parts of Southwest Louisiana. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to promote product understanding and adoption. Your efforts will directly influence patient care and support the company’s strategic goals, making a tangible difference in your community’s health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders
  • Engage with physicians and clinicians to communicate product benefits and therapeutic value
  • Utilize approved resources and messaging to meet sales objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and medical science liaisons, to coordinate initiatives
  • Organize and support local promotional events and speaker programs
  • Monitor market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage territory expenses and ensure compliance with company policies

Experience & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably with oncology or rare disease products
  • Proven success in competitive sales environments with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Strong clinical understanding of oncology and related therapies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
  • Willingness to travel within the territory, including occasional overnight stays; travel up to 20%
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record

Compensation:

This role offers a base salary between $190,000 and $215,000, depending on experience.
