Meet appoints new CEO, Hannah Donaldson

Meet are delighted to announce the promotion of Hannah Donaldson to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 

Hannah, who was previously Chief Operations Officer (COO), founded the company along with Chairman, Paul McGuire and Vice President, Alastair Shaw in 2009. Over the last 10 years they’ve hit a number of milestones; scaling Meet from a start-up to a global, industry leading Life Sciences recruitment agency.

Hannah has played an instrumental role in Meet’s global growth. In 2015, she single handedly launched the brand in the US; uprooting her life and relocating to New York, where she has been based for the last 3 years. After successfully establishing the brand on the East Coast she made the strategic decision to open a further 2 offices in San Francisco and Chicago.

She comments, “I’m thrilled to be appointed CEO, having played an integral part in Meet’s growth since we launched the company in 2009, I’m excited to steer Meet through the next stage of our story and drive the business forward to achieve our future goals. I truly believe we’re already doing an excellent job, and our commitment to exceed expectations and offer a great service will not change. What I want to accomplish in this next chapter is to build on our already strong foundations, culture and client delivery.”

Having enjoyed a career of over 10 years in Life Sciences recruitment Hannah has an extensive knowledge of the industry which she uses to inform Meet’s strategy. She’s also incredibly passionate about working in such a life changing sector, a pride that is embedded in Meet’s culture. 

But Hannah's expertise really lie in leadership. As COO she has developed Meet's Senior Managers to outperform all expectations and fostered an inclusive, high performance culture across the business. As CEO she is committed to maintaining that culture and championing diversity as she continues to scale the business.

Paul McGuire, Meet's former CEO, will continue to play an active role as Chairman. He says, “This is a huge milestone in the relatively short history of Meet, and fantastic recognition of Hannah’s hard work, talent and contribution in helping to build a world class company. With Hannah’s drive, ambition, passion and leadership, the next chapter of the Meet story couldn’t be lead by anyone more qualified or more suited to the role of CEO.”

As CEO Hannah wants to build on everything Meet has already achieved, blending the wealth of knowledge internally with external expertise to evolve the brand and business in #TheNextChapter.
